The ingredients needed to prepare Dhokla:
  1. Prepare 1 cup besan/gram flour
  2. Get 2 tablespoon sooji
  3. Use 1 teaspoon ginger and green chillies paste

  5. Take Pinch hing/asafoetida
  6. Use 1/4 tsp haldi (turmeric) Powder
  7. Provide 1/2 tsp sugar

  9. Prepare For Tempering
  10. Get 2 teaspoon oil
  11. Provide 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  12. Use 2-3 green chillies slit
  13. Provide 2 tsp kadhi patta(curry leaves)
  14. You need As needed Coriander leaves for garnishing
Steps to make Dhokla:
  1. Sieve Besan. Add suji to it.
  2. Add ginger and green chillies paste, Haldi, sugar, salt and Hing. Mix well and keep aside for 15 20 mins.
  3. Keep pan for steaming. Grease the thali well. Now add eno to the batter and mix well. Pour this batter into the thali. Keep for steaming.
  4. After 15 mins check the batter. Prick knife or tooth pick. If comes out well then dhoklas r done. Allow it to cool. Take small kadai for Tempering.. add oil. Add mustard seeds into it. When it splatters. Add curry pata little water green chillies and pour over the dhoklas.
  5. Cut the dhoklas into small pieces and serve hot with green chutney.
