The ingredients needed to prepare Dahi Vade:
  1. Provide 250 gms urad Dal (soaked 5-6 hours)
  2. Provide 1/2 cup moong Dal also soaked
  3. You need 1 Tsp baking soda
  4. Take as per taste Salt
  5. Take 300 gms curd
  6. Use 3 Tbsp powdered sugar
  7. Get 1 CupTamarind chutney
  8. You need As required Chopped Coriander
  9. Provide 1 Tbsp roasted cumin powder
  10. You need 1 Tbsp red chilli powder
  11. Prepare 1 Tsp black salt
  12. Take As required Oil
  13. Use some raisins and chopped cashews
Instructions to make Dahi Vade:
  1. Wash and strained the. Both dals nicely then grind it. Try to grind it with very little water adding to it. Transfer mixture to another bowl and whisk it with your hands nicely in one direction only.
  2. Now add salt and baking powder & start making Vade. Fill some pieces of cashews and 1 raisin in the center and cover it to make a ball. Deep fry all the balls.
  3. Take out it and pour it into curd. Only take 200 gm curd with some water, whisk it then pour balls.
  4. In a bowl add remaining curd along with sugar and whisk nicely.
  5. On a plate take 2 vada balls add sweetened curd. Now sprinkle some black salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder and tamarind chutney. Again sprinkle some salt, cumin powder, red chilli powder. Now pour lots of sweetened curd and garnish with chopped Coriander.
